Expansion Modules Expansion Modules

Expansion Modules

Mikrodev expansion modules increase the physical input/output capacity of PLC and RTU systems. They provide flexibility across applications with different signal types such as digital input/output, analog input/output, RTD (PT100, PT1000, NTC) input, and dry-contact (relay) output.

seamlessly with other Mikrodev products, enabling flexible and scalable system expansion.

Mikrodev offers two main types of expansion modules within its extensive product range:

XIO110 Series Expansion Modules

and

XIO211 Series Expansion Modules
.

Remote IO Capabilities

XIO110 and XIO211 series expansion modules provide Remote IO solutions over Ethernet, GSM,
Wi-Fi, RS485, or RS232 communication networks. Available IO types include Digital Input,
Digital Output, Relay Output, Analog Input, Analog Output, and RTD (PT100 / PT1000) inputs,
enabling comprehensive field-level data acquisition and control.

XIO110 Series Expansion Modules

The XIO110 Series Expansion Modules are powered by a 32-bit Cortex-M4 processor operating
at 180 MHz and support MODBUS and/or DALI communication protocols. Depending on the module
configuration, XIO110 devices offer 8 or 16 digital input channels, 8 or 16 digital output
channels, and 4 or 8 analog input channels.

These modules provide IO expansion capacity of up to 512 or 1024 points, operate with a
24 V DC power supply, and support operating temperatures ranging from -20°C to +60°C.
XIO110 modules are widely used in building automation, energy systems, water management,
process automation, machine automation, transportation systems, IoT and telemetry,
lighting systems, and agricultural irrigation applications.

XIO211 Series Expansion Modules

The XIO211 Series Expansion Modules are also equipped with a 32-bit Cortex-M4 processor
operating at 180 MHz and utilize the MODBUS communication protocol. These modules include
8-channel relay outputs, analog outputs with 0–20 mA or 0–10 V ranges, and RTD inputs
supporting PT100 or PT1000 sensors with up to 6 RTD channels.

XIO211 modules support 12-bit or 16-bit ADC resolution and offer IO expansion capacity of
up to 512 or 1024 points. Similar to the XIO110 series, XIO211 modules are suitable for
building automation, energy systems, water systems, process automation, machine automation,
transportation systems, IoT and telemetry, lighting, and agricultural irrigation systems.

Key Differences Between XIO110 and XIO211

The primary differences between the XIO110 and XIO211 expansion modules lie in their IO
configurations. The XIO211 module offers 16 digital inputs and 16 digital outputs, while
the XIO110 module provides 8 digital inputs and 8 digital outputs. Additionally, XIO211
includes 4 analog inputs and 2 analog outputs, whereas XIO110 supports 2 analog inputs
and 1 analog output.

Detailed technical specifications, user manuals, and catalogs for each expansion module
series are available on their respective product pages. Filtering options within the
product categories allow users to compare and select modules based on specific technical
requirements.

Mikrodev expansion modules are designed in compliance with industrial automation standards
and communication protocols such as PLC GSM, Modbus RTU, Modbus TCP, IEC 61850,
IEC 60870-5-104, MQTT, and SCADA. As a leading manufacturer of domestic PLC, SCADA, and RTU
protocol solutions, Mikrodev continues its R&D investments and maintains its pioneering
position in Türkiye’s industrial automation market.
